Matthew 18:20, when examined in context, is referring to church discipline. Jesus tells us that when we gather to honor Him and seek his guidance, He is present among us. Jesus’ promise of His presence provides reassurance that decisions made in His name and according to His teachings have His support and authority. However, we chose this verse as our ministry slogan because it sums up what we read all throughout scripture : That God is pleased when we gather and worship Him. Give God your undivided attention today. Go to Him in prayer. Worship Him through song. Repent of sin. Reach out to a loved one. Help someone in need. He will be pleased.
